How do I submit my screenplay? 1. Fill out the Entry Form. 2. Pay the Entry Fee. 3. Email your script in .pdf file format to this email address: submissions@scriptsavvy.net. You will receive a confirmation via email.
Do you require a title page? No, but if you include one, please remove your name. We prefer that judges do not see the contestant names.
Why do we have to pay a fee to enter the contest? Entry fees pay our readers, as well as the cost of doing business in general: administration, advertising, prizes, etc. Script Savvy is a self-sustaining contest without corporate funding.
What if I can't pay with a credit card? Sorry we no longer accept checks or money orders via snailmail. You can pay using a credit card, debit card, or paypal.
Can I send my script via postal mail? No. Sorry. PDF file formats via email only. Contact us if you need help making that happen.
Who are the judges? Professional script readers from agencies and prodcos, consultants and teachers. Visit here for more "about us".
What is included with the coverage service? A synopsis and 4-5 pages of detailed notes. It is similar to Script Savvy's previous "full analysis" option but we no longer use or provide numeric scores.
Is my script safe with Script Savvy? Yes. Your work is your property unless/until you enter into a purchase agreement with another party. It's always a good idea to register your work with the WGA before sending it out to anyone. Go here for more info.
What happens to the winners after the results are announced? Winning authors receive a cash prize, have their loglines pitched to our sponsors, and they are put in touch with our contest partners to receive the other prizes.
