THE DETAILS: -A winner and 3 runner-up scripts are chosen each month in the Feature Film screenplay category. -One winner is chosen in the Short Script category. -One winner is chosen in the TV Script category. -Deadline is the last day of each month. -Results are announced the following month.
Feature Script entry fee: $40 Short Script entry fee: $30 (60 page limit) TV Script entry fee: $30 (1/2 hour and 1 hour specs and pilots)
Coverage is available for feature film scripts for a fee of $60. The service includes a synopsis with 4-5 pages of detailed analysis and constructive feedback.
As of the October 2011 contest, requested coverage is returned within 30 days of submission, or it is free.
THE PRIZES: Feature winner - $500 cash, plus exposure and gifts. Feature runner-ups - $100 cash, plus exposure and gifts.

THE RULES: -Unproduced, original screenplays only. -Feature length film scripts (80-140 pages) only. Short scripts (up to 60 pages) only. TV specs and pilots (1/2 hour or full hour formats only). No MOWs. -Please use standard industry format. -Multiple entries require a separate Entry Form and Fee for each. -Substitutions are not allowed after your script is submitted. -Entry fees are nonrefundable. -Resubmitting a script from a previous Script Savvy contest IS allowed if you were not a winner, honorable mention, or runner-up. However, no more than 2 re-submissions of a particular script are accepted. We allow 3 chances total for each script. -Cash awards are split for winning co-authors. -Winning/Honorable Mention/Runner-up scripts from previous Script Savvy contests cannot be resubmitted, in the interest of fairness to other contestants.
THE RELEASE AGREEMENT:
The submitted script is the sole property of the applicant(s).
You will hold Script Savvy harmless from and defend them against all claims, demands, losses, costs, damages, judgments, liabilities and expenses in connection with any and all claims of third parties based on any stories submitted by you to Script Savvy.
The burden of copywriting or registering your screenplay rests entirely with you.
Contest decisions are final, no guarantee of success has been made, and entry fees are nonrefundable.
Script Savvy is not responsible for the creative decisions or business practices of its sponsors.
Authors who have earned $5000 or more from writing in the previous calendar year are not eligible.
Substitutions will not be allowed after your screenplay has been submitted.
